Welcome to Everyday Champions Church!
We are one church in three locations, Newark, Nottingham and Wellingborough.
The heart of Everyday Champions is for each and every one of us to discover who we are in Christ so that we can go on and do extraordinary things that make Jesus’ name famous in our time and generation.
We run a number of programmes and events for all ages, and no matter who you are there will be something for you. To find out more about our up-and-coming events, why not visit our what’s on page.
The best way to check us out is to visit our Sunday morning service. Not only will you will experience great worship and inspirational preaching; you will also make new friends and drink some of the best coffee you have ever tasted in church.
We are so looking forward to meeting you soon!

Gareth and Leanne became pastors of Everyday Champions Church in 2000 when they took over from the great work of Gareth’s dad, Ken Morgan.
In that time they have taken the church on an intentional repurposing to see it become all that it is today. As well as being the senior pastors they are also campus pastors of our Newark location.
Both Gareth and Leanne have an incredible passion to see the church arise and achieve all its potential, and this is obvious to everyone they come into contact with. Gareth and Leanne have three children, Erin, Bethan and Reuben.

Justin & Ruth Widdop pioneered the Nottingham campus of Everyday Champions before taking up the role they now hold. They love the church, and are sold out to seeing the UK church become the head and not the tail of society.
Justin and Ruth have two daughters, Beth and Alice.

Gary and Jan became Nottingham campus pastors in October 2011. Having spent a number of years living in Australia, they returned to the UK with a burning desire to accomplish great things.
They look forward to meeting you!

Ian and Lynwen came to Wellingborough in 1979 after leading a church in South Wales for five years. Ian has held the position of senior pastor throughout this time and Lynwen is a school teacher and leads alongside Ian. They have seen the church grow from 30 to 300 people during this time, and have also planted other congregations in and around Wellingborough.
The vision of Everyday Champions Church is to see each and every person discover who they are in Christ, so they can live the champion life that God has for them. We believe each person has the potential to make a difference in their time, and this is why we do what we do.
We want to see each person who enters the door of any of our locations:
- Connect to God (enter into a relationship with their Creator)
- Connect to Our Community (build relationships within the church)
- Connect to Purpose (play their part)
We believe that once each person makes these 3 connections they can achieve all that God has for them.
- We believe that the Bible is God's Word. It is accurate, authoritative and applicable to our everyday lives.
- We believe in one eternal God, who is the creator of all things. He exists in three persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. He is totally loving and completely holy.
- We believe that sin has separated each of us from God and His purpose for our lives.
- We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, as both God and man, is the only one who can reconcile us to God. He lived a sinless and exemplary life, died on the cross in our place, and rose again to prove his victory and empower us for life.
- We believe that in order to receive forgiveness and the 'new birth' we must repent of our sins, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and submit to His will for our lives.
- We believe that in order to live the holy and fruitful lives that God intends for us, we need to be baptised in water and be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit enables us to use spiritual gifts, including speaking in tongues.
- We believe that God has individually equipped us so that we can successfully achieve his purpose for our lives which is to worship God, fulfil our role in the Church and serve the community in which we live.
- We believe that God wants to heal and transform us so that we can live healthy and prosperous lives in order to help others more effectively.
- We believe that our eternal destination of either Heaven or hell is determined by our response to the Lord Jesus Christ.
- We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is coming back again as he promised.
